October 11, 2006: IPFDC PRESENTATION TO THE 19 PUEBLOS SUMMARY

Executive Committee Approval
On August 25, 2006, the Executive Committee approved a presentation, donation and outing to be given by the Corporation to the 19 Pueblo shareholders. The presentation would cover information about the corporation to date and describe the well being of the organization. The date was set for October 11, 2006 at 10am and it would be held at the Tamaya Hyatt Regency.

The presentation began at 10:15am with an invocation by Governor Leonard Armijo of Santa Ana Pueblo and a welcome from Chairman Everett Chavez. Sixteen representatives of the 19 Pueblos sat at the Council Board Room table including: 1st Lieutenant Governor Greg Histia of Acoma Pueblo, Governor Cippy Crazy Horse of Cochiti Pueblo, 1st Lieutenant Governor Max Zuni of Isleta Pueblo, Governor Roger Madelena of Jemez Pueblo, Councilman Rick Smith of Laguna Pueblo, Irene TsePe of Nambe Pueblo, Representative Charlie Marcus of Ohkay Owingeh, Governor Richard Mermejo of Picuris Pueblo, Governor Leonard Armijo of Santa Ana Pueblo, Governor Michael Chavarria of Santa Clara Pueblo, Governor Sam Candelaria of San Felipe Pueblo, Representative Raymond Martinez of San Ildefonso Pueblo, Governor James Lujan of Taos Pueblo, and Governor Arlan Quetawki of Zuni Pueblo. Also present was Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council CEO John Gonzales.

Chairman Everett Chavez introduced the Executive Committee members who were present. Ernesto Luhan, Governor Sam Candelaria, Governor Arlan Quetawki, Governor Leonard Armijo, and Charlie Marcus were introduced as Executive Committee members. President Bruce Sanchez was then introduced by Chairman Chavez, President Sanchez proceeded to give his own welcome address to the Governors, Lt. Governors and their respective representatives. President Sanchez then introduced the IPFDC Staff who were present including Heather Townsend-Corporate Secretary and Strategist, Deepesh Kholwadwala-Hotel Developer, Bill Haltam-General Council, Sharrod Tabbytite-MBE Director, Glen Garcia-Project Manager, Jess Hernandez-Budget Officer and Dante Garcia-Manager. A brief description of each staff members experience and expertise was shared with the audience, then a PowerPoint presentation was given.

The presentation highlighted efforts of the IPFDC since its inception in 1993. It began with a brief history and overview of the Albuquerque Indian School Property, then led into a timeline of the IPFDC efforts to this point. Important features of the presentation were the fact that the IPFDC is committed to supporting its communities and is determined to generate an economically diverse portfolio to continue this effort.

President Bruce Sanchez described each slide during the presentation; he also answered questions and openly shared information about the Corporation’s efforts. Executive Committee Member Governor Quetwaki shared information on how the Corporation is taking a proactive effort in insuring that the corporation provides access to internship opportunities for college students belonging to each shareholder tribe. Corporate Vice President Charlie Marcus congratulated President Sanchez for his efforts, as well as those who lead the IPFDC before him, in achieving such a grand success for our New Mexico Pueblo Nations.

As the donations slide was reviewed each Governor, Lt. Governor or designated representative was given a donation check for $10,000.00 from IPFDC. During the check presentation President Sanchez expressly stated his appreciation for the continued support of the Corporation by the individual shareholder tribes. Chairman Everett Chavez thanked each respective tribe for their confidence in the IPFDC Executive Committee, Corporate Officers, and staff to continue their work. The floor was then open to the audience in attendance.

One by one each of the sixteen Pueblo representatives stood up and thanked Chairman Chavez and President Sanchez for their efforts to ensure the economic vitality and long term stability of the IPFDC. The most significant statement made that was unanimously repeated by each respective tribe was the fact that the IPFDC is a Pueblo owned and operated organization that is demonstrating an outstanding success, primarily through its endeavors in economic ventures. Other important statements were that this organization is willing to contribute an ongoing effort of support for each of the member tribes and beyond, that the efforts of the IPFDC do not stop at the doorstep, and that the IPFDC is a key player in the New Mexico and in the nation as a whole. As a whole, the audience participants expressed an overwhelming sense of confidence and ease in the direction of the IPFDC.

When the presentation was concluded, a reminder was given that they are the Board of Directors, and that the IPFDC will set up an official meeting to go over any specific questions that they may have concerning the corporation. Governor Leonard Armijo gave the convocation.
